 Manitoba Professional Planners
Institute Annual General Meeting held Thursday November
6, 2008 at the Fort Garry Hotel Thanks to the
members who attended this year's AGM held at the Hotel Fort
Garry on November 6, 2008. A total of 32 members took in a
panel presentation on recent trends in the real estate
market, a compressed General Meeting and election of
officers, an opportunity to socialize over dinner and a
thought-provoking presentation by Glen Murray, now President
and CEO of the Canadian Urban Institute in Toronto. The

Minnesota Chapter of the American Planning Association conference
The Minnesota Chapter of the American Planning Association is pleased to announce its Call for Presenters for the state planning conference in Duluth, on Sept. 22-24, 2008. The theme, "Transitions in Planning," will approach many aspects of planning, as well as of some of our partner professions, such as landscape architecture, engineering, and economic development.

Taking the Pulse of Practice 2008

Students, faculty and practitioners celebrated the completion of coursework by the MCP Class of 2006, and toast the MCP grads of 2007/08. The M2s presented their Case-in-Point collaborations with practitioners, and also offered their collective statement to the profession as emerging professional planners. Co-sponsored by MPPI and the Faculty of Architecture Partners Program.
